Helping you make your choice - why choose a course at Kingston
Welcome from the Director of Undergraduate programmesIf you were unable to attend one of our Applicant Days, here is a summary of the main points made by Fiona Tolmie, Director of Undergraduate Programmes for the Business School and Law School.
Please use our online events and contact the Faculty Student Liaison team with any questions about the course or about university life. Alma Naieri is the Student Liaison Officer and she is assisted by two students who are spending their placement year working for the Faculty. The students this year are Adrianna Crooks and Tinaye Munonyara. News about Undergraduate programmesSemesterisation Students have expressed the view that they would prefer to take only four modules at once intensively over a semester rather than study seven or eight things at the same time over a full year and the Faculty has decided to adopt this model from next academic year as a way of improving the student experience. New courses We will be validating three new business courses during this academic year – BSc Business Systems Management, BSc Business Operations Management and BA Marketing Communications and Advertising. Any student who is holding an offer for any of our other undergraduate courses may switch the offer to one of these new courses . If you would like to do this please contact David Campbell, Faculty Admissions Officer. ![]() Name: Stuart Dalmedo Course: BA Business with Law
"It has always interested me to study business or law, so a joint degree was ideal.
I found University a big step up from college, especially as I came from abroad. But Kingston is a very convenient place to live, which made the transition easier and less stressful than it would be in central London. The high-standard of teaching meant we could question and learn from the lecturers rather than just sit and listen. I particularly enjoyed the practical workshops. I realised just how much I had gained from my studies when I was able to use it during a two-week internship in Dubai. I worked on the Dubai Summer Surprises (DSS) apprenticeship scheme. I found my time at Kingston so beneficial that I've decided to continue my studies here at postgraduate level." |
