Dr Chris Reade (Lead Academic) and Dr Walter Skok (Project Supervisor) both of the Department of Informatics and Operations Management have been awarded a two year Knowledge Transfer Partnership (KTP) with KBC Advanced Technologies plc, starting on15 March 2010. The project is valued at £121,729. KBC are a global, independent consultancy to the energy and process industries, with offices in Surrey, Singapore and the USA. The company assists clients in improving operational performance, environmental practices and investment strategies.

The project will address:

  • the need for excellent communication structures, tailored to a multi office environment
  • the provision of an accessible and user friendly information repository
  • the development of a knowledge sharing culture
  • the need for interchangeable systems, allowing for the transfer of project information and knowledge between worldwide offices.
